You know what they say about best-laid plans...
+ XO's cover reveal and late-stage pandemic snack choices
This month’s newsletter is a bit late, and will be necessarily brief—my oldest got Covid last week, and though he’s recovered and no one else in the house appears to be affected, the disruption to my schedule at an already busy time has meant that many things I’d like to do (such as assembling a long newsletter about teaching writing, Dostoevsky, the great minimalist purge of 2010, and why reading is so important to being a writer) have been shuffled to the “soon” bin.
But, I do have some exciting news that I want to share, which is that my second book, XO, has a cover! Feast your eyes on this gorgeous, fierce evocation of one of the book’s central themes—
The book also now has a pre-order page for the print version! Visit https://www.autofocuslit.com/books/p/xo-sara-rauch-print-preorder for full details about the book, and to be among the first to get your copy as soon as it publishes in April.
Next month is shaping up to be a big month—so stay tuned for a full-length newsletter, and info on my AWP whereabouts. In the meantime, I’ll leave you with the glory of my stress-related, late-stage pandemic snack choices. Behold, the nerd gummy cluster.
Yours in brightly colored junk food solidarity,
